<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nLast week we helped out with a VBS in Orville, Washington. I had the privilege of being the Bible teacher for all three age groups. What a fantastic week we had. I believe God really spoke to many of the children\u2019s hearts through His Word and through the topic, Ocean Commotion (Noah and the flood). One morning, toward the end of the week, I was in the play yard watching the children before VBS was to start when one of the older girls came up to me and told me she liked my class the best, over crafts and play time. We talked for a bit and it was encouraging to hear that God is working in her heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reminds me of the verse, Luke 18:16, \u201cBut Jesus called them to Him and said, \u201cLet the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Children are so important to God. What a blessing and encouragement to see a church really dedicated to reaching out to the children of the area, including those who are not church attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After one children\u2019s meeting (not last weeks VBS), a little girl came up to me and handed me a dime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhy don\u2019t you put that in the missionary offering?\u201d I asked her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her response, \u201cBecause it\u2019s for you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n That dime meant the world to me because it showed that even the small ones of this world can give with a sincere heart. The seed of love is sewn in the heart of the young. Children can often be a great example to us, how we should be towards one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Still, there is an even greater example of love, and that was the Lord Jesus when He took the punishment you and I deserve by dying on the cross for us. Romans 5:8 says, \u201cBut God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> He paid the ultimate price, He is the greatest example!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Greatest Example by Mari Dekle<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a world where everything Everything is \u201cgive me\u201d The greatest commandment To love my neighbor as myself Love is not an idea, Love is like a sunbeam The greatest example of love Love will last forever Jesus, when asked what the greatest commandment was, replied in Mark 12:30-31, \u201cAnd you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. is mine, mine, mine,
The true definition of love
is difficult to find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
or what is best for me,
But this is only a love of self,
not others, don\u2019t you see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
in the Bible we find,
Is love the Lord your God
with body, soul and mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
is not something we readily seek,
For how can I love others
when my love for God is so weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
or things as a substitute for time,
For love is expressed in giving
sacrificially of our time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
to a darkened soul all alone,
Compassion and understanding
are seeds needed to be sown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
was God sending His only Son,
For our sins He died and rose again,
yes, each and every one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
if we carry God\u2019s love in our heart,
In devotion and obedience
we must be willing to do our part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
