I pray you all had a special Christmas celebrating the birth of our Messiah and King. It was a very different one for us this year celebrating in Tennessee with Tim’s folks. The last 6 years we have had the joy of celebrating with my family in Moses Lake. I have lots of siblings with families, many of which come to celebrate with dad. It is a very lively affair both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. This year with just the four of us, it was very quiet and unhurried. Quite a contrast. I will not say I prefer one over the other by any means. We are grateful to spend this time with Tim’s folks now.

Thank you to all of you who participated in the Christmas Quiz. I hope you had fun. Some of you expressed you really enjoyed it but never sent me your answers. Nevertheless, you all are probably wondering the results. We do have three winners: Rose Davis, Beth Taylor and Eve Stein. Congrats! I will be contacting you about your prize.

The quiz answers may surprise you. It wasn’t that easy. Even my husband, who was not allowed to participate, didn’t get all the answers correct. I wouldn’t have either, but I learned some new things. I hope you did too.

The answers:

Christmas around the World: 1-B, 2-C, 3-C, 4-C, 5-C, 6-D, 7-B, 8-A, 9-C, 10-B

The Real Life: 1-d (Luke 2:1),  2-d (the Bible doesn’t say),  3-d (not mentioned at all),  4-e (though could be d),  5-b (Magi, wisemen),  6-a (a multitude praised God),  7-d (Matt 2:11),  8-d, 9-e (they spoke),  10-d (Joseph was a dreamer Matt 1:20,2:13,2:22)

2021 is rapidly coming to a close. It was a very challenging and sorrowful year for many. There is much concern that 2022 will not be much different. Let me leave you with this verse: Jeremiah 29:11 God tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  The King James says: thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” No matter what comes our way in 2022, He is in control and has a purpose. If you are His child, because you are dependent on Him and what He has done for your salvation, Him alone, you do have a future and hope in HIM! Cling to that promise as you go into the New Year.

Blessings to you in 2022! mari

Tim and I downsized greatly from a 2500 sq ft house to a 36 foot long RV so we could be more flexible for this new chapter in our lives, following God's delicious unknown. We have been missionaries for the Lord Jesus Christ for over 30 years and are continually amazed at where He leads us. It is an exciting journey. May we always bring glory to HIS name!
